A Prophetic Word for 2024 from Justin Peters Ministries

Welcome to the program, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Justin Peters Ministries. I hope that this finds you and your family doing well today. Well, dear friends, God spoke to me. God spoke to me, and he gave me a prophetic word for this new year of 2024. Now I know, I know there are lots of prophets out there giving lots of prophetic words. They do this every year. They want you to know what they say God is telling them about the upcoming year, whatever year that may be. So I hope that this prophetic word does not get lost in that sea of prophecies and prophetic words out there, because dear friends, I think that this prophetic word, the prophetic word that God gave to me for this new year, is a special prophetic word. In fact, I would say that the prophetic word God gave to me is a prophetic word made more sure, more certain than any of the other prophetic words you will hear from any of these other so-called prophets.

So let me tell you what God told me.

God Reveals His Identity

God spoke to me this morning as I was reading Isaiah 42:8, and he told me that his name is Yahweh, and he will not give his glory to anyone or anything else.

God spoke to me again in Deuteronomy 4:24, and he told me that he is a jealous God, so jealous in fact that he compares himself to a consuming fire.

Just last night, I was outside staring up at the sky, a clear night here in Montana. I saw the multitude of stars and just marveled at their beauty. God spoke to me about that in Genesis chapter 1 and chapter 2, and he told me that he created all of that in just six literal 24-hour day periods and not only did God create all of that, in fact he sustains all of it, because he spoke to me again in Hebrews 1:3 telling me that he upholds all things by the word of his power.

Just last night, I was outside staring up at the sky, a clear night here in Montana. I saw the multitude of stars and just marveled at their beauty.

The God that we serve, dear friends, is no deistic God. This is not some God that just spoke everything into existence and then is just hands off. Oh no, no, no, our God is a God who not only creates but who sustains all of his creation. And this dispels any myth that people may hold that God is up there in heaven just not doing a whole lot, but intervenes every once in a while. No, God is very active, actively upholding all things by the word of his power. And that is a great comfort to you and me as Christians, because as we look at the state of our society and the world in general in which we live, boy it seems like the wheels are just coming off, doesn’t it?

I mean we live in some crazy times. We live, we live in a day and age in which a man can just decide that he wants to be a woman and a woman decides that she might want to be a man, and we’ve got to affirm that kind of lunacy. And it just seems like the wheels are coming off. But God spoke to me in Isaiah 46:10 to remind me that he is in control. He has declared all things from beginning to end.

God’s Sovereignty and Our Response

He spoke to me again in Psalm 115:3 and says that our God is in the heavens. He does whatever he pleases. So you see, dear ones, the wheels are not coming off. God is in control, even though it may not seem like it. God is working behind the scenes in ways that none of us can fully, fully understand. His thoughts are not our thoughts. His ways are not our ways. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so are his ways above our ways and his thoughts above our thoughts. And this he spoke to me in Isaiah 55:8-9.

In fact, God told me that what we are seeing today is in fact his wrath, the wrath of his abandonment, because that’s what he showed me in Romans chapter 1, when God simply gives people over to depraved minds to do those things which are not fitting. That’s why we live in a day and age today in which it seems like people can simply no longer even think at the most basic levels.

But even though our society as a whole is going that way, you and I are not, dear ones, because we have a sound mind. And we cannot give approval to what the world approves, because God told me in Romans 14:22, “Blessed is the man who is not condemned by what he approves.” And so if you are asked to give approval to this kind of lunacy that we see today, that’s not an option for us.

We are a nation being led by wicked rulers. But God told me in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 that as Christians, you and I are supposed to pray for all men, including kings and those who are in positions of governmental authority. And so we should pray for our leaders, pray that God would bring them to salvation.

And on the more personal level, God spoke to me this morning in James chapter 1:2 and told me that I should expect trials in this new year of 2024—not if but when I encounter various trials. And these trials in and of themselves will not be enjoyable. That is after all why they are called trials. Trials are not enjoyable. But I can count them as joy, knowing that God is in complete control of all things.

And he told me further in 1 Peter chapter five that I should cast all of my anxiety upon him, because he cares for me. I’ve made a number of plans for this new year. I have plans to preach and teach domestically and internationally, and to continue my YouTube channel and writing projects and all these things. But God reminded me this morning in James chapter 4 that my life is but a vapor that appears for a little while and vanishes away. And even though I have these plans, I should be careful in saying I will definitely do these things. Rather, I should say, “If the Lord wills I will do this and that.” And so by God’s grace, if he wills, I will indeed do these things.

A Prophetic Gospel Proclamation

As I close this prophetic word, I wanted to give to you a prophetic word, a prophetic gospel proclamation, and remind you that God says in Romans chapter 3 verse 23 that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. And God tells you in Romans chapter 6 verse 23 that the wages of sin is death, eternal death. And those who die in their sins will very rightly and very justly go to a very real place that the Bible calls hell.

And God tells us in Luke 16:19-31 that that is a place that you do not want to go—the Lake of Fire where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. God has made a way of escape though, because he wanted me to tell you that he sent his Son Jesus Christ to this earth. And Jesus gave his life as a ransom for many, as he says in Mark 10:45.

Jesus Christ took the wrath of God that you and I deserve, the wrath that our sins have incurred. He took that wrath upon himself and made himself to be the propitiation, the wrath removing sacrifice for our sins, as he says in 1 John 4:10.

There is salvation in no one else, says God in Acts 4:12 and John 14:6. There is only one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus, as God says in 1 Timothy 2:5-6. If you will repent of your sin, turn from sin, and place your trust in the risen Lord Jesus Christ and what he accomplished on the cross, there will now therefore be no condemnation upon you, God told me that in Romans 8:1.

You will pass from death to life. The old things passed away, behold all things are made new, God says in 2 Corinthians 5:1, 17. God will give you new desires, new affections. And one day when this short vapor of a life is over, you will hear those words from Christ, “Well done, good and faithful slave,” in these words he says in Matthew 25:23.

Closing Exhortation

So dear ones, as I close this prophetic word, I would remind you of what God said in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in Yahweh with all of your heart. Don’t lean on your own understanding, but in all of your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths,” in this new year of 2024.

And that, dear friends, is a prophetic word, a word more sure, more certain than any other so-called prophecy you would get from any other so-called prophet, because the prophetic word that I gave you is straight from God’s Word. These things he speaks to all of us in the Bible.

May God bless you and your family in this new year of 2024, and may we do all things to the glory of Christ Jesus our King. Until our next time together, may the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of His Holy Spirit, as God says in 2 Corinthians 13:14, be with you all.
